I’m X-Secular

Verse 1
You need to get your mind straight when you’re looking at God’s Word because it is infallible, God is perfect; man is not, so why would we trust man’s ideas over God’s?

Chorus
You need to start your thinking with God’s Word and stop taking man’s ideas to the Bible
Then you’ll be standing on the right foundation to look at the world
You need to remove the false ideas like the ‘millions of years’ and evolution
Then you will truly know what it’s like to become:

X-Secular

Verse 2
You can either trust the Bible’s flood or you can trust man’s ideas about ‘millions of years’
But you can’t have the geologic column as a confirmation of them both.

Chorus
You need to start your thinking with God’s Word and stop taking man’s ideas to the Bible
Then you’ll be standing on the right foundation to look at the world
You need to remove the false ideas like the ‘millions of years’ and evolution
Then you will truly know what it’s like to become:

X-Secular

Breakdown:

You need to stop trusting imperfect man’s ideas about the past like Big Bang.
God was there and He eyewitnessed it and His Word is perfect.
Why trust imperfect men’s account of the past, when they weren’t even there.
It’s time to get false ideas out of your head – challenge things like Big Bang and pond scum-to-people evolution that have been forced on you.

It’s time to get back to God’s Word. I invite you to become: X-Secular

Verse 3

You need to get your mind straight when you’re looking at God’s Word because it is infallible,
God is perfect; man is not, so why would we trust man’s ideas over God’s?

Chorus
You need to start your thinking with God’s Word and stop taking man’s ideas to the Bible
Then you’ll be standing on the right foundation to look at the world
You need to remove the false ideas like the ‘millions of years’ and evolution
Then you will truly know what it’s like to become:

Evolution train

Chorus
The evolution train’s a coming but it’s going in the wrong direction
The evolution train’s a coming but it just can’t get you where you want to

Where you going?
You just can’t build it up!
The information’s falling.
And you just don’t want to give it up!

Verse 1
Selection doesn’t build up information but only selects what’s already there
It filters out and loses information – this isn’t evolution at all

Selection was developed by Ed Blyth to explain variation in kinds
Darwin took it one step further but we don’t observe life changing kinds

Chorus
The evolution train’s a coming but it’s going in the wrong direction
The evolution train’s a coming but it just can’t get you where you want to

Where you going?
You just can’t build it up!
The information’s falling.
And you just don’t want to give it up!

Verse 2
Mutations can’t build sufficient information; they are defects in the genome
How can these be information gaining; when their additions are like Enron

Tumors like cancer are mutations; do you think these are so great?
If mutations are evolution’s hero; then evolution is a tumor of hate…

Bridge:
The evolution train has derailed
It went the wrong way on the track
The creation train went barreling through it
Now let’s help people get back on track

Verse 3 Compilation verse
Selection doesn’t build up information but only selects what’s already there
It filters out and loses information – this isn’t evolution at all

Mutations can’t build sufficient information; they are defects in the genome
How can these be information gaining; when their additions are like Enron

Outro line
Hey man where you goin’? Hey that’s the wrong way.

Flood Epic

The foreshadow of waves

Epic of the day

Every inclination their hearts were evil all the time. All men’s thoughts had gone astray but Noah was a righteous man – he walked with God and he was blameless in His sight. The Lord will judge their sin with a mighty flood…

Noah built the ark, the animals came, Christ shut the door when man refused to change.

Epic of the punishment

Noah preached to them but they refused to listen to the word, now their screams ring out to them as sin was punished with the flood – it came upon them when they least expected it. But remembered Noah and his family…

The flood gates burst, the ark floated high, those who loved sin were left there to die.

The final wave

Epic reminder

A peace had settled on the earth for man to start a brand new life, God called them out of their long stay aboard the ark of salvation – a lesson for us, Christ will save us. The Lord will still judge sin in mighty ways.

The Fall into Death

Music break symbolizing a the fall in Genesis 3

In time, in a place, when the world was ‘very good’. Satan fell, then he spoke, through the serpent to Eve.

Satan said:

“You will not surely die…You will not surely die”

God said that we would.

God said:

“You will surely die…You will surely die”

What God said came to pass.

The woman, and the man – they ate from the forbidden tree. They died, as do we, because of this sentence to die.

God said:

“Cursed are the animals”
“Cursed is the ground because of you”
“To the dust you will return”

This is why, there is death and suffering and why you need Jesus Christ, to save you from death.

I Hear You Calling

Verse 1
Dear Lord, I hear you calling, but I feel so far away.
I know that I have failed you, I’m unworthy everyday.
Oh father you’re in Heaven and you’re looking down on me.
My life is a mess now and it’s just so hard to see.

Chorus
Hear my prayer Lord and forgive me father for I have sinned again.
Hear my prayer Lord and forgive me father for I have sinned…

Verse 2
Dear Lord, I hear you calling, but I nailed you to a cross.
My sins are overbearing and I feel that I am lost.
Please fill me with the Spirit and forgive my thoughts.
Guide me, direct me, to give it all I got.

Chorus
Hear my prayer Lord and forgive me father for I have sinned again.
Hear my prayer Lord and forgive me father for I have sinned…

Verse 3
Dear Lord, I hear you calling and the pressure from my past.
For I have defected and Lord I should be cast.
Dear Lord I hear you calling I will try to live like you.
Your Word is in my left hand and my right is raised to you.

Chorus
Hear my prayer Lord and forgive me father for I have sinned again.
Hear my prayer Lord and forgive me father for I have sinned again.
Hear my prayer Lord and forgive me father for I have sinned again.
Hear my prayer Lord and forgive me father for I have sinned…

Armor of God

Ephesians 6

Grab your Sword and view the enemy!
The Lord is coming with the power of his Word, so we should read the Bible as it is His sword.
You should take a stand against the devil’s schemes for our battle is not against ‘flesh and blood’ teams.

Battle Cry!
So take the sword of our great God and read it all and then you’ll grow, you’ll grow in faith, you’ll grow in hope and then you’ll be ready – let’s go!

Armor Up!
So you should put on the full armor of God instead of being taken captive by Satan’s little fraud.
A belt buckle of truth and a righteous breastplate, a helmet of salvation and shield of faith.

Battle Cry!
So take the sword of our great God and read it all and then you’ll grow, you’ll grow in faith, you’ll grow in hope and then you’ll be ready – let’s go!

Prepare the heart and come along!
Pray for me also when I open my mouth to be fearlessly preaching in the North and South.
So you should put on the full armor of God or risk being beaten by Satan’s little rod.

Battle Cry!
So take the sword of our great God and read it all and then you’ll grow, you’ll grow in faith, you’ll grow in hope and then you’ll be ready – let’s go!

Tongue Tower

After the flood

They had one language, they had one speech
They traveled to a plain called Shinar
They built a tower to reach to the heavens
Because they thought they were greater than God

God struck it down
Confused their speech
He split the earth up according to their family clans

After Babel

The grandsons of Noah fled
To Europe, Asia, Africa
By family groups they spread about
Finally even to the Americas

Ancient cultures began to emerge
Civilizations like Egypt began
Greece followed after several years
They can’t defy the Creator’s plan

God struck it down
Confused their speech
He split the earth up according to their family clans

Lessons from Babel

Explains the ‘races’ and linguistic change
This is why people groups are unique
Noah’s traits bottlenecked in these groups
‘Racial’ differences are extremely bleak

We’re all one ‘race’ and family
We’re all in need of Jesus Christ
To be saved from the second death
And the curse that enslaves the world

God struck it down
Confused their speech
He divided the earth up by their family clans

Wise Men

Bodi-wan

The journey calls

Off in the distance, we see it arise, a star shining brightly to bring us surprise.
Searching for answers, we checked ancient scrolls – finding the prophecy to save all our souls.

The journey answered

Encrypting the secrets and wisdom untold, a journey we must on a long rugged road.
Packing some things we set off for the west, the call in our hearts for the ‘Fortunate Blessed’.

The first wise man:
“This is our mission, to bring gifts of value to this man.”

The second wise man responds:
“Travels cold and bearing, but destiny lies in other lands.”

The third wise speaks:
“Yes, yes, we have made it to the Mediterranean Sea.”

The fourth wise man instructs:
“Ask those all around here, for the one who is going to be king.”

Of Noble request

Our visit drew company as high as the ‘head’ (aka Herod), wanting to know whom we sought up ahead.
Of Bethlehem, descent of David of old, soon to be heir of a great priestly throne.

A Plot ahead

Then tell me when you find him and I’ll worship too. He said with a smirk but his words were untrue.

Another small journey

Then journey again to this town of the star, finding this boy after months from afar.

The first wise man:
“Yes, yes, we have made it to the stable that held this humble crown.”

The second wise man responds:
“Give our gifts of value and offer advice to leave this town.”

The third wise speaks:
“They decided to listen to go to another foreign land.”

The fourth wise man instructs:
“Our mission’s complete as they decide to go off unto the Nile’s sand.”

The angel commanded them to leave and they were ready!

They went off to Egypt into another land. For they knew the king was coming with a mighty hand.
With rage and some jealousy and a killing spree. His life was spare to set us all free.

Prophecy fulfilled

And the words of the Prophet will be made true – being called out of Egypt…from which they flew.

Far off in the East

The first wise man:
“Thank you my father – thank you for the love that you did send.”

The second wise man responds:
“Thank you for coming, thank you for the time that you did spend.”

The third wise speaks:
“Thank you for caring, thank you for all that you have done.”

The fourth wise man instructs:
“Thank you my father, thank you for sending us your son.”

Ranks of God

Chorus
To join the ranks of The God
To defy all the odds

Verse 1
Born in this world where angels and demons fight.
Lost in this place where all is wrong and nothing’s right.
In search for truth with wrong answers to the questions.
Why do you choose obliviation?

Chorus
To join the ranks of The God
To defy all the odds

Verse 2
When said and done, we’ll leave this cursed world behind.
We live to die and journey to the other side.
In death, we find our spiritual resurrection.
Why do you choose annihilation?

Chorus
To join the ranks of The God
To defy all the odds
To join the ranks of The God
To defy all the odds
To defy…

Verse 3
Silver and gold means nothing when you’re dead and gone.
The life you live is all that matters to anyone.
You’ve been deceived by the evil one’s deception.
How does this sound? Your damnation?

Chorus
To join the ranks of The God
To defy all the odds
